Iranian ‘One Day Later’ wins awards at Chilean festival

Iranian short ‘One Day Later’ wins 4 awards at the 1st South Film and Arts Academy Festival in Chile.

Iranian short film ‘One Day Later’ has won 4 awards at the 1st edition of the South Film and Arts Academy Festival (SFAAF) in Santiago, Chile.

The film directed by Ehsan Hemmati grabbed the awards for the best lead actor and actress in a short film and best art direction in a short film.

Siamak Mozaffari and Leila Bargahi received the awards for the best lead actor and actress in a short film, respectively.

The award for the best art direction in a short film was presented to Reza Qadiri and the third Audience Award went the Iranian short.

‘One Day Later’ tells the story of Farhad, whose friend dies and leaves a will that appoints Farhad’s daughter as the sole inheritor of his wealth. Farhad’s doubts about the will causes problems as he tries to expose the truth.

The SFAAF is a festival that includes monthly presentations and an annual ceremony as well as an online streaming site. It is a festival of the arts that includes cinema, music video, theater, music and photography.

The 1st edition of SFAAF was held on November 15-17, 2017, in Santiago, Chile.
